Gillian was the lone new participant in this game and once the game came to a conclusion she was so moved by the experience of the game that she nearly was in tears. After the game Bobby the Sports Journalist asked her how she felt. She replied " Cashflow is not just a game, and not just a teaching device. Cashflow is a bonding experience, and we are all better friends for participating."
The game had many highlights (and lowlights) as all the participants discussed what they were learning with each other throughout the game. All of us taught each other and due to the game our business savvy and entrepreneurial ability was enhanced. Some of the highlights include:
- Gillian learning some of the power of real estate investment.
- Mike being so excited about the game that right during his turn he broke his chair and fell to the ground. The dining room chair he was sitting on was destroyed, (as accompanying pictures will show) but nonetheless, he didn't want to disappoint his close friends, so he valiantly played on despite the scratches on his back
- Bobby, despite a string of bad luck, played through the game to the very end, and started to gain some Cashflow. He showed that persistence and not flaking on your friends, pays off in the end.
- I happened to get lucky and win the game, although I feel that participating was much more important than the outcome.
Lastly Mike was so emotionally drained from the events of the game he made a mention of how he "wanted a Mexican slave to move his game piece for him, instead of having to do it himself."
Mike also mentioned that he was in a situation where he was at the mall, and someone of Mexican decent cam up and started talking to him. He wondered to himself "Why is a Mexican talking to me," before realizing that this was an old Spanish teacher from high school. Mike felt bad for this condescending attitude he displayed, and would hope his other friend would never display this behavior to people of Mexican descent. He felt strongly that people in South Jersey should know this, but alas no South Jerz players were able to participate in our game.

Hi there M ty B, I had been out looking for some new information on cash flow industry when I found your site and this post. Though not just what I was searching for, it drew my attention. An interesting post and I thank you for it.
i did have some shit luck and i learned that although things won't always go your way, as long as your friends are there for you, that's all that matters
i suppose some people have the opportunity to gather w/ their friends, play cashflow, learn important life lessons, share laughs, and learn fiscal responsibility...while others lock themselves in their room w/ their law books and cry themselves to sleep

This entry has so many little tidbits of inside jokes that left me lol-ing for a good 5 minutes. We all did really become closer the whole weekend, with the NYC trip, Amazing Thai food with Rob and Liz, drinking cherry beer and looking at central park, illegally jumping into pits of foam,
and finally, becoming better friends and learning valuable lessons from playing cashflow.
Oh yeah, Bobby and Matt - we're gonna do our conference call tommorow (wed) at 5:00pm to talk further about our business proposition. I did the research on my end and I really do see a high growth opportunity in my area.
Matt, any luck with the 'technology'? And Bobby, we need to look at the notes for the mission statement. I know it's bullshit, but it would be good to have some sort of ethical code (especially considering what we're trying to do).
gillian's going to talk to some of her professor's after thanksgiving break to find out some of that info we were looking for. as for the ethical code, we can look at it this weekend, i just don't see why it would be entrusted to me for anything ethics related. if only we had one more person with a sturdy moral compass
Dan- stick to hanging out/getting your car smashed up in Boston. Just becuase all of your friends down here hang out all the time, have fun, and are becoming better friends, doesn't mean you have to get crabby.
On a side note I may be a few min. late for the call tonight, my resaerch is taking a little longer than expected.
